With the Occupational Safety and Health Act of 1970, Congress created the Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) to ensure safe and healthful working conditions for workers by setting and enforcing standards and by providing training, outreach, education and assistance. While OSHA compliance is generally applied to large employers, the standards apply to individual creatives as well. This program reviews standards which apply to creatives in all mediums from paint safety for visual artists to noise levels for musicians, tool and glue safety for sculptures and personal protective equipment for all among many other standards, creatives can utilize OSHA standards for their own safety.
