Your donations support the St. Louis Arts Chamber of Commerce’s five year project, Art Heals Violence, in which artists and designers are working in underserved areas to:
- redesign vacant lots discouraging unwanted activity, increase property values and to create community gathering spaces
- create sculptures and visual art to slow traffic on a notorious speedway
- create memorial glass block houses and audio recordings from residents celebrating the history of the neighborhoods thus creating pride in the accomplishments
- work with teachers on a trauma informed approach to teaching and a cross curricular program to address construvtive communication, grief and healing through the arts
- fold Soul Boxes as part of the national effort against gun violence, an exhibit that will be coming to St. Louis
- support artists creating quilts made of paintings of children killed by gun violence
- creating regional exhibitions and performances surrounding the issues and the effective changes
- celebrate the changes as well as the state Bicentennial with an Art Fest and Ice Cream Social with the announcement of the deign plans of the new Hodiamont Greenway connecting Grand Center, Hodiamont Tracks and the Delmar Loop.

The StL Arts Chamber has been working with neighborhoods along the Hodiamont Tracks with its Art Heals Violence Project. The neighborhoods have worked throughout the year to clean up the tracks and work with Great Rivers Greenway to redesign the Tracks into its newest Greenway. Join us to see the new designs and to celebrate the Missouri Bicentennial while creating a 6 mile Art Fest and Ice Cream Social connecting Grand Center through the soon to be Hodiamont Greenway to the Delmar Loop August 7, 2021 10AM-2PM. Artists, performers and so much more to explore. Consider splurging on St. Louis World’s Fair introduction of the beloved ice cream cone!
