Missouri was a primary home to nine nations: Chickasaw, Delaware, Illini, Kanza, Ioway, Otoe-Missouria, Osage, Quapaw, Sac & Fox, and the Shawnee. Many nations called the St. Louis Metropolitan Region home including the Osage, the Kaskaskia, the Kiikaapoi, the Myaamia, the O-ga-xpa, the Mound Builders and many more hunter wanderer nations.
